A. Potential Effects of Infection to the Dental Healthcare Setting (DHS)

Topic Progress:
  1. Due to the nature of their work, Dental Healthcare Personnel (DHCP) come in contact with a variety of potentially infectious diseases on a daily basis and risk both contracting and transmitting these diseases.

  2. In order to prevent and reduce infections, it is critical that all DHCP comply with mandated regulations, recommended guidelines, practices, and precautions, thereby reducing the risk of transmission of infectious disease from patient to patient, and patient to DHCP.
