It was back to school at this month’s General Membership Meeting! 📚
Members and guests were welcomed by our wonderful volunteers, Catalina Calderon-Diaz and Mary Kanoon, as the SCCDS office embraced a fun “Back to School” theme. Attendees received a notebook and pen set to take home, along with the opportunity to update their professional image with complimentary professional headshots.
Dinner from Thai Chili Cuisine helped bring everyone together before an engaging presentation by Dr. Jose Luis Ruiz on Minimally Invasive Rehabilitation – A Healthier, Less Costly and More Predictable Approach.
The evening also provided an opportunity to welcome several new members to the Santa Clara County Dental Society. Please join us in welcoming Semira Amirkiai, Sejal Gopani, Shiva Latifi, and Audrey Wong to SCCDS!
We were also pleased to recognize and congratulate all of our members who have recently achieved Life Member status. This milestone represents decades of dedicated membership and commitment to the organized dentistry, and we are grateful for their longstanding support of the dental profession.
In the spirit of getting involved and making a difference, the Community Services Committee shared a special opportunity for members to connect with SCCDS volunteer initiatives. The first five dentists to sign up for a volunteer event through sccds.org will receive a special 3D-printed business card holder. It is a small thank-you for taking the next step toward serving our community and supporting the outreach efforts that make a difference throughout Santa Clara County.
From continuing education and professional connections to new members, longtime members, and opportunities to give back, September’s General Membership Meeting was a wonderful way to start the fall season at SCCDS.
