Seeing patients with terminal dentition has become a common problem we see in everyday interdisciplinary practice. Over the past decades, osseointegrated implants have provided extraordinary solutions, either supporting or retaining prosthetic devices aimed to restore esthetics, form and function. This lecture will describe the LTR or Lip-tooth-ridge classification facilitating the treating team to decide what may be the best prosthetic alternative based on the patient´s condition, instead of trying to fit the patient’s population into a “one size fit all” treatment approach.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
1. Describe the LTR Classification
2. Review of prosthetic alternatives for the terminal dentition and fully edentulous arch
3. To better comprehend treatment indications and patient risk assessment for the edentulous maxilla.
