THE IN-PERSON MEETING WILL BE HELD AT THE SOCIETY OFFICE WITH LIMITED SEATING.
ADVANCE REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. NO WALK-INS WILL BE ALLOWED.

ONLINE MEETING WILL BE VIEWABLE VIA ZOOM.

This course presentation will examine the evolution of dental restorative materials with a focus on implant dentistry and differences in workflow with the advancements in digital technology. Abutment selections with current machinable materials as well as management of malpositioned implants will be discussed along with design differences pertaining to the new materials. Future directions with digital restorative workflow will be discussed as well as the questions yet to be solved for full digital adaptation into clinical setting.

Objectives:

Understand historical and emerging materials used in restorative dentistry with a focus on implant restorations Understand traditional and new approaches to restorative management of malpositioned implants Understand the influence and impact of the digital workflow and future directions to adapt into the clinical setting.

Biography:

Dr. Cheryl Park is the Director of the Advanced Education in Prosthodontics program at Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC, and she continues to train more specialists like herself as well as teach implant dentistry with the dental student clinic. Dr. Park maintains her practice limited to prosthodontics in Glendale, California, and serves in various roles in academic committees and organizations.
